Credit Controller & Administration Support – Part Time – Parental Leave Cover
The Catholic Diocese of Auckland are seeking a motivated credit professional to join their Diocesan Finance team, located in St Marys Bay, Auckland.
This is a part time (20 hours per week), fixed term Parental Leave position, responsible for providing credit control and administrative support to the Operations Manager for the collection of Attendance Dues for schools in the Catholic Diocese of Auckland.
This is a varied role, that will be responsible for a variety of tasks within the credit and collections process. The ability to effectively multi-task, strong problem solving and relationship building skills will be essential, as well as a well-developed sense of initiative, and the ability to work independently.
Key Tasks include:
- Collection of compulsory school Attendance Dues
- Contact with school parents via outbound phone calls
- Follow up of unpaid accounts
- Debtor ledger management
Applicants should have previous credit control experience, or similar transferrable commercial experience. Sound collections skills and relevant legislative knowledge would also be advantageous. The ability to effectively juggle multiple priorities, an organised approach to work, excellent attention to detail, and a high level of numerical literacy will be required.
The Diocesan Finance team is close-knit and high performing, so the successful applicant will need to be optimistic, resilient, and driven to succeed – both in terms of achieving their targets and developing and maintaining excellent relationships. Adaptability, transparency, and a collaborative approach to work will be critical for performance in this role, as well as a strong sense of integrity and dependability.
A strong command of written and spoken English will be essential. The ability to speak Samoan and/or Tongan would be advantageous, but not essential.
The role requires a strong sense of empathy, emotional intelligence, and commitment to upholding the values of the Catholic Church.

Case Instructor, Auckland Office, Tribunal of the Catholic Church for New Zealand
The Tribunal assists people who request that the Church study their marriage to determine whether there is the possibility of a declaration of nullity so the marriage is considered not binding in the Catholic Church. There are also other canonical cases processed through the office. We are a small office that strives to “care for the dignity of marriage and to work for the good of persons”.
Applications are being sought for the part-time (30 hours per week) permanent role of Case Instructor in the Tribunal’s Auckland office at the diocesan Pompallier Centre in Ponsonby. We can offer a family friendly schedule and will provide training to the successful applicant.
The successful applicant will have:
· excellent interpersonal skills,
· a pastoral approach to the ministry of the Tribunal,
· capacity to travel regionally for interviews, and
· experience in general administration work.

Ministries to Young People – University Ministry Coordinator
Are you a self-motivated relationship-builder who can be the driving force behind a new project? Are you looking for a role where you can make a meaningful positive impact in the lives of young adults?
We’re looking for someone who answers “Yes!” to become our full-time University Ministry Coordinator. You’ll be part of a tight-knit team implementing a bold new strategy for ministry to young people in the Diocese of Auckland.
This role has 3 key objectives:
- To launch and coordinate a new strategy for ministry to university students across multiple campuses.
- To deliver an engaging calendar of events, reaching out to university students, building community and providing formation.
- Ensuring that university students in the Diocese are pastorally support and connected to local Catholic faith communities.
The ideal candidate for this role will:
- Be self-motivated, with demonstrated success in project planning and implementation.
- Be relationship-oriented, demonstrating ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, university students, and external stakeholders.
- Be well organised, demonstrating capacity to create and adhere to project management systems in the context of complex and fast-paced projects.
- Be available to work 8-16 hours per week in the evening and/or during the weekend, as required.

Catholic Social Services Auckland – Graduates Welcome
Catholic Social Services is a faith-based organisation, founded by Catholic Social teaching. Catholic Social Services integrates the Catholic Diocese of Auckland’s mission and values into their work practices with their mission being “Christ’s compassion in our communities addressing social and personal need”. Catholic Social Services provides Social Work, Counselling and Pacific Living without Violence services across the Diocese of Auckland – supporting families and individuals who are in crisis, affected by social issues and family violence, by providing guidance, advocacy, and intervention.
We are seeking a person who is passionate about working with people and ensuring the needs of clients and their families are fully met. Someone who is willing to work both independently and as part of a team and someone who is willing to build community networks and work closing with other agencies and our parishes. These roles are based in our Otara Office.
The role’s key function is to assist with fulfilling the contractual obligations to MSD/Oranga Tamariki, by responding to Family Harm referrals.
Applicants must have:
- A Social Work qualification, or finishing one, that is recognised by the New Zealand Association of Social Workers Registration Board.
- Registered with the New Zealand Association of Social Workers Registration Board or if a graduate happy to work towards this.
- Proven experience in social work with individuals and Whanau and commitment to quality social services provision to whanau.
- Advocacy in support of whanau and individuals’ human rights e.g. access to housing and general social support.
- Experience of working in the area of family violence and individuals and whanau with complex needs and confidence in ability to assess both safety and risk.
- A commitment to bi-cultural and multi-cultural Aotearoa New Zealand and experience in working alongside Māori and Pasifika people.
- A commitment to upholding the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
- A current full driver’s license.
- Empathy with and commitment to upholding the values of the Catholic Church would be an advantage
