Theology in Auckland
There are two theological institutions in the Auckland diocese: the Catholic Institute of Theology and Good Shepherd College.

The Catholic Institute of Theology was established in 1989 by the Auckland Diocese to serve as the centre for University level theological teaching and research as well as Continuing Faith Education.

Good Shepherd College is the national Catholic theological college, offering degree courses in theology through its association with the Catholic Institute of Sydney, a member college of the Sydney College of Divinity. The degrees are awards of the Sydney College of Divinity. Good Shepherd College also offers adult education courses for personal interest.

The diocese is also home to the Catholic Discipleship College, which is a scripture based, live in, formation institution.

Jubilee Bursaries
The Jubilee Bursaries, established by Bishop Pat Dunn in the Jubilee Year 2000, are to encourage and make theological studies accessible to people in the Diocese of Auckland.

The Bursaries will be awarded for university study in theology undertaken for credit. The bursaries are a contribution towards the cost of university fees for theology and religious education papers. Go to www.theology.org.nz to read more!
