About: Sian Owen

Sr Siân Owen RSJ is a Sister of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart. A secondary school teacher by training, she holds responsibility for a variety of ‘portfolios’ in the Religious Education Team. She has particular concern regarding the Sacramental Programmes which were re-written for 2015 providing supplementary resources and Catechist training. The support and formation of parish Catechists of Sacramental formation, RCIA and Religious Education Catechists is a key role for Siân. This role occurs through diocesan, local and on-line mediums and forums. As well as providing resources for Catechists and providing advice and guidance to RCIA teams, Siân is the diocesan coordinator of Adult Faith Education. All these areas are influenced by the transition from more traditional models of delivery to 21st century challenges of the digital world.
