Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School Official Opening

On Friday 9 June, Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School celebrated their official opening with Bishop Pat in attendance.

The Celebration began with a Powhiri as the guests lead by Bishop Pat were welcomed onto the school campus and lead into the Hall.  A number of guests spoke about the journey of the school from its conception through to the completion of the building phase.  At the end of the Powhiri the children performed the Papakura Haka & Holy Trinity Haka.

This was followed by a Liturgy led by Fr Peter Murphy and Fr Mike Wooller and which included the planting of a tree and replacing the first Sod turned at the beginning of the school construction.  The tree was blessed along with the hugely impressive Cross which faces out from the front of the school onto the community that surrounds it.

The Liturgy was followed by performances from the Students.  The children’s enthusiasm of being foundation students of Holy Trinity and the pride in their School environment was obvious on the faces and in the performances of the children.  It is clear that the Catholic Character of Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School is already at the heart of our newest Catholic school.

We wish the Staff and Students and their families wonderful futures as they grow in numbers and in spirit.

Dedication Mass 2017

   Weaving the Bonds of Belonging

On Tuesday night 21 February we celebrated the 2017 Dedication Mass.   Themed, Weaving the Bonds of Belonging,  Bishop Pat Dunn was celebrant and was supported by eight Priests who are part of our learning community.

It was wonderful to see close to 1,000 of our teaching staff from our schools and Early Childhood Centres from all over the Auckland Diocese come together at Christ the King Church to celebrate the start of the New Academic year and the commitment and achievements of their peers.

As always the Sacred Heart boys were on hand to help with parking and serve supper afterwards.
