Tenth Week in Ordinary Time

Reading from Gospel: Mark 3: 20-35  The True Family of Jesus

  • In Gospel seems like Jesus saying he doesn’t care about his family – this is not true
  • Jesus is pointing out that God does not play favourites pointing out that anyone who follows him and loves others as he does is a disciple.
  • It does not matter if you are priest, or someone special anyone who goes out to Spread the Good News and do justice is as important as anybody else.

Integrated Mass

Once a month the Pastoral Worker to the Deaf works with a parish to enable the Deaf Community to attend a Sunday Mass with the wider Catholic community.  The Mass is interpreted enabling the Deaf community to participate.  The front seats are reserved to enable a good view of the interpreters.

The next Mass will be

17th June 2018 at 9.30am
St Dominic’s Catholic Parish,
32 Bolton Street, Blockhouse Bay

To make sure we have enough seats at the front please let Rachel know if you are attending the Mass rachelm@cda.org.nz
