Tenth Week in Ordinary Time
Reading from Gospel: Mark 3: 20-35 The True Family of Jesus
- In Gospel seems like Jesus saying he doesn’t care about his family – this is not true
- Jesus is pointing out that God does not play favourites pointing out that anyone who follows him and loves others as he does is a disciple.
- It does not matter if you are priest, or someone special anyone who goes out to Spread the Good News and do justice is as important as anybody else.
Once a month the Pastoral Worker to the Deaf works with a parish to enable the Deaf Community to attend a Sunday Mass with the wider Catholic community. The Mass is interpreted enabling the Deaf community to participate. The front seats are reserved to enable a good view of the interpreters.
The next Mass will be
17th June 2018 at 9.30am
St Dominic’s Catholic Parish,
32 Bolton Street, Blockhouse Bay
