Pilgrim Walk | Leaving from St Patrick’s Cathedral

It’s a long standing WYD tradition to make a pilgrim walk.  Let us walk to Victory Centre with youthful joy, publicly proclaiming our faith.
Stay focused on the walk as you never know who you might meet along the way.

Food and Faith | Victory Convention Centre

There will be a massive sausage sizzle before we start our afternoon programme.

#VoiceOfYOUthAK begins with the official countdown at 3.45pm

#VoiceOFYOUthAK is a celebration of prayer and music, teaching and testimony, making some serious noise and spending time with Jesus in the Eucharist.   We’ve refreshed the programme offered in previous years.   Be sure to have your group banner and a 10 second chant to shout out loud at Victory Centre.  This is quite possibly the most exciting time to be a young person in the Church.  Pope Francis has said that he has all young people in his heart.  He has asked bishops to “waste time” listening to young people.  Bishop Pat is keen to hear your voice and your ideas as Bishops around the world begin to prepare for a Synod in Rome in 2018.   Bishop Pat will be at #WYDAK17 and he wants to hear YOUR ideas.  We hope to see YOU at #WYDAK17!

WYD Diocesan Youth Mass | Victory Centre @ 7.00pm

Let’s gather as one community to be nourished as we receive the Eucharist.  This will be a multi-cultural celebration of faith.   Friends and family are welcome to come to any element of World Youth Day Auckland 2017.  This year particularly we encourage you to invite family including grandparents to this Mass.

Finish time is approximately 8.30pm.  We recommend bus pick-ups for 8.45 or 9.00pm
