Leading up to #WYDAK18, the ACYM team will send out leader updates that will keep group leaders informed about what is happening at the event, what to expect and also what information you need to pass on to the young people in your groups.

Regional Days: Saturday 14 July 2018
Two regional days have been confirmed for the 14th of July:
- South / East regions – Sancta Maria College, 3-9pm
- North Shore / City / Central/ West regions – Rosmini College, 2-9.30pm
Diocesan Day: Sunday 15 July 2018
World Youth Day Auckland is for young people aged 10 to 35 however people of all ages are welcome to attend. Pilgrims under the age of 18 should be in groups with assigned leaders. Any registration queries may be directed to Rochelle or Teresa in the ACYM Office.
Spend time with God in prayer
There will be TWO prayer sites for the Sunday of #WYDAK18. Prayer will begin at 1pm and
locations are allocated depending on your region:
St Patrick’s Cathedral – for young people from South/East regions
Sacred Heart Parish, Ponsonby – for young people from City, Central, West and North Shore regions
Allow yourself to be drawn closer to God through music and inspired by scripture to live your whole life the way Jesus calls you.

Pilgrim Walk | Leaving from St Patrick’s Cathedral and Sacred Heart Parish, Ponsonby
It’s a long standing WYD tradition to make a pilgrim walk. Let us walk to Victory Centre with youthful joy, publicly proclaiming our faith. Get your youth group banners along and be ready to fly them high as we walk to Victory Convention Centre.

There will be a massive sausage sizzle before we start our afternoon programme.
#VoiceOfYOUthAK begins with the official countdown at 3.45pm
#VoiceOfYOUthAK begins and includes a celebration of prayer and music, teaching and testimony, making some serious noise and spending time with Jesus in the Eucharist. This year there will be separate teaching sessions for teens and young adults.
WYD Diocesan Youth Mass | Victory Centre @ 7.00pm
Let’s gather as one community to be nourished as we receive the Eucharist. This will be a multi-cultural celebration of faith. Friends and family are welcome to come to any element of World Youth Day Auckland 2018. This year particularly we encourage you to invite family including grandparents to this Mass.
Finish time is approximately 8.30pm. We recommend bus pick-ups for 8.45 or 9.00pm
