Before making an appointment to a tagged position, the Board of Trustees is required by the legislation to consult with the Proprietor and may consider for appointment only those applicants who have been declared acceptable by the Proprietor.
‘S’ Forms for short-listed applicants to Tagged positions in Primary schools should be sent to the Catholic Schools’ Office. The Consultative Advisory group will determine which applicants are acceptable in terms of Catholic Special Character. Schools will be contacted to confirm acceptable applicants.
It is important that prior to making an appointment to a tagged position, the Catholic Special Character referees nominated on the S Form should be consulted to ensure acceptability of applicants for holding a tagged position.
