Masters Educational Leadership (Australian Catholic University), Bachelor of Science (Victoria University), Graduate Diploma Mission Studies (Sydney College of Divinity).
I have taught in eight secondary schools in New Zealand including 6 years as Principal of Sacred Heart College in Auckland and four years as Principal of St Patrick’s College Silverstream. I have also worked for the Abu Dhabi Education Council as a school’s manager for 18 months involved with middle, primary and kindergarten schools. At the beginning of my teaching career, I was also a Marist priest and this led me eventually to work in the Marist mission in Brazil in 1990. After four years there, I left the Marist order, married and worked supplying English teaching services to multinational companies in Sao Paulo. I returned to New Zealand and to teaching in 1997. I have three sons, and through my Brazilian wife remain connected to the Brazilian community in New Zealand.
