Signs of Life
At liturgy (e.g., Holy Week), people are willing to do their best. Lay people are very much involved in liturgies. Hospitality - shared meal, cuppa after Miha. Kaikohe was the first parish in New Zealand, while Waitaruke was the second one.
As a parish community, we are inclusive and welcoming - ensuring people are involved. We live our faith openly; "concentrating on God - ears on the Spirit - acting like Jesus."
Keeping our churches open and being able to receive the sacraments. We are providing opportunities (both in person and online) to increase people's faith/deepening of faith.
Questions & Possibilities
We must become leaders in our own homes and community. But how else can we motivate people to become leaders. Ultimately, we need to find people who really care about people.
When it comes to our young people, how can we help support them to live their faith meaningfully at home and in their community? What do we already have in place to support them?
Are we open to opportunities of evangelisation through social media platforms, to start conversations with people of various demographics? How can we engage with more people online?
