What is NET?
NET stands for National Evangelisation Teams. For over 30 years NET has provided peer-with-peer youth ministry in schools and parishes across Australia and New Zealand.
Each year, NET recruits and trains teams of young adults aged 18-30 who volunteer a year of their lives to encourage young people to love Jesus and embrace the Church.
In 2024, we are excited to once again welcome a NET team to the Catholic Diocese of Auckland!
WHAT IS AN ENCOUNTER DAY SCHOOL RETREAT?
An Encounter Day is a day-long retreat (usually 9am-3pm).
During an Encounter Day, the NET team presents the Gospel message in a dynamic way. The team meets young people where they are at, sharing their personal stories of faith and providing a unique environment to enable young people to have their own personal encounter with Jesus.
The day includes activities, music, small group discussion, dramas, prayer, and input based on your chosen theme.

"Over the last 4 years, NET teams have been an amazing blessing to the life of the Church in New Zealand. I cannot speak highly enough of the NET teams and I encourage you to welcome them to your college."
