Nominations for the Tu Kahikatea Awards 2024 are now OPEN!
The Tu Kahikatea Awards are annual awards given out by the Diocese of Auckland to recognise young people who have made an outstanding contribution in their community. The Awards are about celebrating the gift that young people are to the Catholic Church in Aotearoa New Zealand, and thanking them for the outstanding contributions they have made.
'Tu Kahikatea' can be translated as 'Standing Tall.' The awards are named after the New Zealand Catholic Bishops Conference statement: Tu Kahikatea: Standing Tall – A Framework for Catholic Ministry with Young People in Aotearoa New Zealand.
